Following the five year business plan created earlier this year, TCG Consulting continues to expand its presence in the region by adding a new Director of Latin America, Wellington Costa.
Charlotte, NC—July 28, 2010 – Wellington Costa has been appointed to Director of TCG Consulting, Latin America. His responsibilities include business development and client engagements for all of Latin America. Based in Sao Paulo, Wellington serves as a client liaison and consulting team leader for the region, coordinating with other TCG global colleagues to ensure client services delivery. His team specializes in providing assessments and strategy, sourcing, implementation, compliance and management of corporate travel payment and expense management integration with TCG’s current global clients and our new prospects in the region.
With over 35 years of industry experience, Wellington previously served the airline industry for five years with Varig and Pan Am and was also a travel manager and events consultant for Sedco Forex Schlumberger, the US Embassy and Telefonica for 30 years. He has been a frequent speaker at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) forums in South America. Wellington’s work with the travel managers community resulted in the creation of the Corporate Travel Committee in Rio de Janeiro in 2001 and the Travel Commission at the GAS - Admin Services Group in Sao Paulo last year with over 50 of the largest enterprises in Brazil. Wellington is also a member of the American Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee of Business Travel) and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce (Tourism Committee). Within the MICE industry he has participated in many editions of EIBTM and IMEX. Dedicated to empowering internal executives and administrators, Wellington and his team interpret each of their customer’s unique needs and ensure alignment of expectations and successful results. An integral member of his team is Sabine Kuefner, based in Mexico City, who brings over 10 years of relevant local market expertise, and oversees client service delivery for the market. Instrumental in helping clients such as SAP, HSBC, Unilever, Arcor and Telefonica consolidate various travel program functions and policies into viable and sustainable internal implementations, Wellington and his team continue to meet TCG’s global standards and unprecedented 28:1 client ROI.
