Jim Coufal, Senior Consultant and Engagement Manager for TCG, specializes in assessing, sourcing, implementing, and managing corporate travel management programs while integrating these programs with back-office business processes. Jim helps clients develop corporate strategies that leverage the cost reduction opportunities of corporate travel programs. He manages corporate payment and expense management initiatives, as industry growth creates new opportunities for TCG clients. Thanks to his project management aptitude, Jim leads client teams through lengthy, detailed, and complicated initiatives on time and within budget. Jim has more than 25 years of industry experience in corporate finance, operations and business processes and has spent the past 10 years with TCG.
Prior to joining TCG, Jim held managerial positions in the banking and manufacturing industries. He brings a distinctive talent to the industry by leveraging the financial perspective with a complete understanding of systems, technology and business processes.
Jim is responsible for the development of TCG's initial airline analytic models, which consolidate global city pair information and provide scenario “what-if” analysis to help clients maximize corporate travel programs. Additionally, Jim has developed a software application to consolidate, cross-reference and transform various hotel data formats into meaningful strategic sourcing and compliance reporting information.
Jim is a member of various industry associations including Association of Corporate Travel Executives, National Business Travel Association and the Los Angeles Business Travel Association. He has been a speaker for industry events such as; the National Business Travel Association, Los Angeles Business Travel Association, Silicon Valley Business Travel Association, New England Business Travel Association and Corporate Travel World.
Jim received his MBA from the University of Southern California and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska.
